Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has been called up by Scotland.

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack was a surprise name in the Scotland squad announced by interim manager Malky Mackay yesterday.
Jack has been called up before but never capped and is hoping for his first opportunity in the upcoming friendly match with Holland.

Jack’s call-up comes as a little of a shock as his performances for Rangers have been disappointing since he moved to Ibrox.
The former Aberdeen star has been sent off three times since signing for the Light Blues and is yet to score in 14 appearances.
The 25-year-old now has a chance to make a positive impression on the big stage, if he can get onto the pitch in the upcoming friendly, with plenty of competition for a midfield berth, including from Celtic stalwart Scott Brown.
Jack’s career so far may merit an international opportunity to show what he can do, but fans are shocked at the timing of his call, believing his current form does not justify it.
