The West Ham United player is currently on loan at Oxford United and has made a name for himself in the FA Cup.
West Ham United striker Toni Martinez continues to impress for loan club Oxford United, this time finding the net against Premier League opposition in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The teenager’s goal against Middlesbrough was not ultimately enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat but it was another step in the right direction for the 19-year-old.
Martinez has been scoring goals for fun in West Ham’s under-23 side and he has subsequently moved on loan to Oxford, where he has already found the net against both Boro and Newcastle United.
It is yet another indication of just how good the Hammers youngster is and adds more fuel to the fire of those West Ham fans left disappointed that he was not given a chance in the first-team this season.
His chance will come, sooner rather than later given his form in recent weeks, but for now he will be focused on helping Oxford climb up the table.
