Young Tottenham striker Troy Parrott scored for Ireland’s under-21 side.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott played a key role in helping the Republic of Ireland’s under-21 side to a comeback victory.
Parrott scored Ireland’s equaliser to set them on the way to a 2-1 victory away to Sweden.
The teenager pounced on a rebound after Jonathan Afolabi’s effort was parried, and struck it high into the net.
Parrott, 17, called into Ireland’s under-21 side for this first time this month.
He has scored at under-17 and under-19 level for Ireland previously.
Appearances and goals at senior level for Ireland seem inevitable before long.
Before this, he needs to break into Tottenham’s first team, and he has made good progress so far, featuring in pre-season.
Tottenham face League Two side Colchester United at the end of the month and some fans are speculating this could be when Parrott makes his debut.
Here is a look at the reaction to his goal…
