Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen is arguably Denmark’s best player, but the 27-year-old had an off day on Sunday.

Denmark were expected to win comfortably against Georgia away from home in the European Championship Qualifying Group D game.

However, the match ended in a goalless draw, with Eriksen failing to make any sort of impact.

The 27-year-old failed to create much and was largely quiet, and Tottenham and Denmark fans were not impressed.

World-class midfielder

Like all world-class players, Eriksen has a bad day at the office on Sunday, and one should not be too critical of him.

The Dane is one of the best and most creative midfielders in Europe, and he himself will be frustrated and disappointed that he could not guide Denmark to a win against Georgia.

Eriksen will now have to focus on club football, with Tottenham to face London rivals Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this coming Saturday.
