Celtic’s next generation lost 3-2 to their rivals from Manchester City this week.
Celtic’s under-19 side suffered a heart-breaking defeat to their Manchester City counterparts in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday afternoon as the Bhoys let a two-goal lead slip to lose 3-2.
The young Celtic side were coasting at 2-0 after 45 minutes but three second-half goals ensured the Blues came out victorious.
That said it was a day to remember for the right reasons for young Celtic player Theo Archibald, who scored an absolute belter to put the Bhoys 2-0 up.
Celtic broke from inside their own half before Archibald picked up the ball and curled a sublime effort into the far corner from outside the box.
It was an effort that prompted its fair share of praise on social media, even if it was not enough to ultimately secure the victory.

Archibald is an 18-year-old winger who operates predominantly from the right.
He featured in all six of Celtic’s UEFA Youth League matches this season, following up his assist against Barcelona last time out with his wonderful goal against City.
