Everton’s Richarlison featured for Brazil on Friday.
Whilst the UEFA Nations League has been dominating conversation during the international break, there have been games taking place all over the world.
On Friday, Brazil were in action as they took on Uruguay at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, with fans in London treated to a South American friendly.
Both teams put out strong sides, with the likes of Alisson, Neymar and Roberto Firmino in the Brazil side, whilst Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Lucas Torreira lined up for Uruguay.
It looked like being a frustrating evening as the game entered the final 15 minutes at 0-0, but Diego Laxalt fouled Danilo to give Brazil a penalty – and Neymar stepped up to score.
Brazil boss Tite only made two substitutions, but one of those was to bring on Everton star Richarlison for his fifth cap, having forced his way into the squad this season.
Richarlison was only given just over 20 minutes, but he had a golden chance to score, firing wide from close range after being picked out by Neymar with a fine cross.
Despite that miss, fans took to Twitter to hail Richarlison, suggesting that he is better than Liverpool’s Firmino as a striker and that Neymar prefers to play with him over the Liverpool ace, adding that Richarlison is a ‘superstar’.
