The Rangers star struggled to provide a big threat, despite his team’s victory.
Lafferty’s lack of mobility saw him easily limited, with Jonny Evans and Josh Magennis scoring Northern Ireland’s goals.
From Rangers’ perspective, it was at least some valuable game time for the striker ahead of this weekend’s Old Firm game.
Lafferty is not expected to start, but he has started many games in 2019.

The forward’s last goal for Rangers came in January in the Scottish Cup game against Cowdenbeath.
For now he is playing a role for Northern Ireland, but some supporters believe it is time to move on.
