Suffice to say Celtic midfielder Scott Brown is getting a hard time on Twitter for his latest comments.
The Hoops captain was the victim of a rough challenge by Aberdeen’s Graeme Shinnie in Celtic’s 1-0 defeat by the Dons this past weekend.
Speaking to The Daily Mail on Tuesday, Brown, 32, took plenty of swipes at Shinnie for what he called a “little boy’s tackle” and indicated that he was too quick for the 26-year-old defender.
However, the Celtic star has a reputation for a no-nonsense tackle himself, and some fans on Twitter are hinting that the former Scotland international is being a tad hypocritical for his condemnation of Shinnie.

The Celtic star is 90 minutes away from skippering the Bhoys to back-to-back trebles, with Motherwell standing between Rodgers’s side and history in the Scottish Cup final.
Not only that, but on an individual level Brown has been a class above this season, having cleaned up at the club’s end-of-season awards, and picked up PFA Player of the Year and Football Writers’ Player of the Year.
