Leeds United faced their toughest match of the season so far when they travelled to Wales to take on Cardiff City on Tuesday evening, and the Bluebirds were in fine form, running out 3-1 winners courtesy of two goals from Kenneth Zohore and one from Junior Hoilett.

It was a bitter blow for Leeds, whose consolation strike came courtesy of Kemar Roofe, but things looked tough even before centre-back Liam Cooper was sent off on the stroke of half-time.

Leeds knew this was going to be a battle, and so it proved, with their former defender Sol Bamba impressing as a holding midfielder and prompting some Whites fans to question their lack of mettle in the centre of the park.

This win took Cardiff to the top of the table, replacing a high-flying Leeds side that still has plenty of reasons to feel positive.

That said, this is the second time in quick succession that they have been beaten by a more physical side and Whites boss Thomas Christiansen needs to get his team selection right week in, week out if he wants to remain in the top two come May.

Bamba certainly had a point to prove against his former employers and he did not disappoint. After the match we took to Twitter to see what Leeds and Cardiff fans thought of the Ivorian’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
