Leeds United won comfortably against Bristol City this weekend.

While the rumours linking Aden Flint with a summer switch to Leeds United appeared to be nothing more than Twitter tittle-tattle – at least according to Bristol City manager Lee Johnson – there were many Whites fans who wanted to see the centre-back arrived at Elland Road last summer.
Instead Leeds signed Matthew Pennington on loan from Everton while Liam Cooper proved many of his doubters wrong with some impressive early-season performances.

That duo lined up for Leeds in Saturday’s match against Bristol City and they did not disappoint, keeping a clean sheet as Samu Saiz and Pierre-Michel Lasogga did the business at the opposite end to secure a 3-0 win.
It was a torrid afternoon for Flint and his City teammates as they were overrun by an exciting Leeds’ forward line that looks to have rediscovered its mojo at just the right time.
Flint should not be judged on a single performance and there will still be some Leeds supporters out there who would love to see the experienced stopper in their starting XI. But he will have lost plenty of fans after this showing.
