The 24-year-old former Belconnen United and Central Coast Mariners man started the match at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi and played for 71 minutes, as Ange Postecoglou’s side lost 3-2.
Rogic played well for Australia and scored for his national team in the 41st minute. Australia fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the midfielder’s performance against Germany.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi on Monday, Australia had 47% of the possession, took 10 shots of which five were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
Germany had 53% of the possession, took 18 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
