Sunderland are reportedly interested in Max Gradel. Fans react on Twitter.

Sunderland have been reportedly linked with a move for Ivorian winger Max Gradel.

Simon Grayson, the new Black Cats manager, who took charge of the club last month, is keen to sculpt the squad to his own taste, and has identified Gradel as a potential target.

Gradel has previously played under Grayson at Leeds United, and the former Preston manager is thought to be a big fan of the Ivorian.

The 29-year-old, who made 45 international appearances for the club, is open to leaving Bournemouth, having failed to establish as a regular starter.

Last season, the skillful attacker did not start a single Premier League game, and made only 13 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries from the bench.

According to reports from The Sun, Sunderland were looking to sign him on loan, with an option to buy, but the Cherries want a permanent deal instead.

Sunderland are now reportedly planning to launch another bid to sign the winger.

While Sunderland fans (judging by the Twitter reactions) feel that he could be a decent signing for the club, questions are being raised over his fitness.
