Rangers defender Borna Barisic delighted fans with his Croatia debut.
Rangers defender Borna Barisic was handed a huge test last night when he was handed an international debut for Croatia.
Barisic was picked against Euro 2016 winners Portugal, who selected a strong side, albeit one without Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal’s team still boasted big money attacker Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Andre Silva of AC Milan, with Real Madrid’s Pepe marshalling the defence – and scoring the goal for his team in the 1-1 draw.
Croatia named a team with several changes to the one which reached the World Cup semi-final, with Rangers defender Barisic one of the new names.

Barisic is seen above putting a crunching tackle in on Portugal defender Joao Cancelo.
The Rangers man acquitted himself well and did not look out of place in the company of multi-million pound players.
Rangers fans were proud to see the Ibrox star making his international bow, while Croatian fans had positive comments about him too.
Here is a look at how fans reacted on Twitter to Barisic’s performance…
