Newcastle United have been linked with a move for West Ham United’s goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

According to reports from The Chronicle, Newcastle United will be offered the chance to sign West Ham United goalkeeper Darren Randolph, this summer.

The Hammers are interested in England goalkeeper Joe Hart, and if he makes the move, Randolph will be allowed to leave the club.

West Ham are reportedly looking to sign Hart in an initial loan deal with a view to make the move permanent. Hart’s arrival would see Randolph lose his no. 1 spot at West Ham, and the 21-cap Republic of Ireland international could be offered to Newcastle.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is looking to sign a top goalkeeper this summer, despite failing to lure the likes of Willy Caballero and Pepe Reina.

The Chronicle reports that Newcastle are willing to keep hold of Rob Elliot and Freddie Woodman, but the club will allow Tim Krul to move on.

Newcastle are also prepared to offload Karl Darlow. However, judging by the Twitter reactions, it is quite clear that fans are not at all impressed with the latest transfer link.

Randolph is decent at best but he won’t be an upgrade over the current bunch. Take a look at some of the reactions from the Toon fans on Twitter:
