Some fans teared into Everton attacker Dominic Calvert-Lewin for his international display.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin featured for England’s Under-21s side on Thursday night – and a wide variety of fans on Twitter were critical of his performance.
The 21-year-old centre-forward start the match for the young Lions and was eventually substituted off in the 76th minute.
Aidy Boothroyd’s side ended up recording a goalless draw against Netherlands in their qualifying match for the Under-21 European Championships.
Calvert-Lewin was denied a couple of times in front of goal, but his side were lacking a clinical touch in the final third when it really mattered.
The Everton star has been a regular in England’s youth level during recent years and is also a first-team member at Goodison Park.
He has started the new campaign in strong form for Marco Silva’s side, scoring three goals in just four appearances across all competitions.

He wasn’t able to replicate that on the international stage on Thursday, but they do have another match away to Latvia next Tuesday.
Calvert-Lewin did come under-fire with criticism for his recent display, but there aren’t many alternative options to him in the England set-up.
