The tiny nation were 1-0 up with minutes left before an own goal from Birkir Saevarsson cost Iceland two points.
But another Birkir was again in great form.

FC Basel midfielder Birkir Bjarnason put in a great and energetic performance for the second game in a row.
He covered nearly every blade of grass and it is the second time he has impressed at the tournament.

He was superb against Portugal in Iceland’s opening game of the competition. In that fixture he even scored a historic goal for his nation as the underdogs claimed a 1-1 draw against a perturbed Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
Both games have seen Bjarnason receive plenty of praise on Twitter, with Leeds fans undoubtedly taking notice.
The Icelander was heavily linked with Leeds United this time last year.

It was first reported by GianlucadiMarzio.com around this time last year that Leeds were interested in the then Pescara midfielder.
Those links continued for much of the summer until he ended up joining the Swiss giants.
