The Scottish Premiership champions’ development side ran out 3-1 winners.

Fans of all clubs have been reacting on Twitter to the news that Celtic not only included 13-year-old Karamoko Dembele in their squad for their under-20s’ clash with Hearts on Monday night, but then brought him on for the final 10 minutes.
A Hoops side that included the likes of Leo Fasan and Jack Aitchison recovered from going a goal behind to win the contest 3-1, but it is unlikely that the result itself will grab many of the headlines.

That is because in the 81st minute, Dembele replaced Aitchison – who, at 16, would have seemed like a veteran in comparison with the man who came on for him – and looked bright during his brief spell out on the pitch.
Understandably, there was a variety of reactions on social media following the prospect’s debut. Many fans expressed their shock given that a teenager born in the same year that saw the conclusion of a season during which Henrik Larsson scored 44 times in all competitions, was involved.
Larsson scored 44 goals in the season ending in 2003, the year Dembele was born
Others have commented on the obvious comparison with Bhoys striker and namesake Moussa Dembele, who has enjoyed a stunning start to life at Parkhead since his summer move, and expressed their hope that he goes on to reach a similar level of ability in the future.

Here is the best of the reaction following Dembele’s debut.
