Rangers defender James Tavernier was named in the SPFL Team of the Season.

James Tavernier was the only Rangers player named in the SPFL Team of the Season.
The Ibrox right-back has recently been linked with a move down south to England [via The Mirror] but continues to divide fans with his performances.
Tavernier, 27, scored nine goals in all competitions from right-back this past season, including seven in the league, an impressive tally for a defender at any level.
Yet his defending was exposed in repeated losses to Celtic, which hurt his reputation in the process.
Tavernier’s inclusion in the Team of the Season split supporters, with some feeling it was merited, and others believing he had no business being named in the XI.

Rangers finished the season in third place, and never really looked like mounting a title challenge.
Next season they need to do better although overhauling Celtic will not be easy.
At present it is unclear whether they will keep Tavernier, or even if they should, with new manager Steven Gerrard’s plans for next season still very much open ended.
Here is a look at how fans reacted on Twitter to Tavernier being picked…
