An unfortunate comment from BT host after Liverpool’s victory.

Liverpool beat Roma in the Champions League semi-final last night but will be kicking themselves for not killing the tie off.
The Reds were 5-0 up against the Italians before conceding two late goals to end the game as 5-2 winners.
Roma overturned a three goal deficit against Barcelona in the last round to reach the final four and will hope lightening can strike twice when they host the second leg.
BT Sport host Gary Lineker reflected on the dramatic match with studio pundit Steven Gerrard after the final whistle, and used an unfortunate turn of phrase.

Lineker commented that Liverpool ‘let it slip’ at the end, immediately conjuring up memories of Gerrard’s infamous title-costing slip against Chelsea at Anfield in 2014.
Fans on Twitter couldn’t believe Lineker’s faux pas and wondered if it was deliberate from the former England striker…
Liverpool’s second leg against Roma will take place on Wednesday May 2.
