Liverpool have made a 100% start to the Premier League season and they will be looking to maintain that at the weekend despite suffering a defeat to Napoli on the opening night of the Champions League.

Some neutral fans on Twitter have not reacted well to Jurgen Klopp’s comments regarding diving after Liverpool suffered a 2-0 defeat to Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
In that game, left-back Andy Robertson was judged to have fouled Jose Callejon in the area when the winger decided to cut in on his left foot.
A penalty was given for the home team, with VAR not overruling the referee’s decision and Klopp stating after the game that a penalty shouldn’t be awarded when the player ‘jumps before there is contact’, as quoted by The Mirror.
The comments by Liverpool’s senior man have not gone down well with the neutral supporters, who think that the German is being hypocritical and that he needs to look at his own players.
Mo Salah’s name was mentioned, as some seemingly accused him of diving or going down too easily just like Callejon seemed to do for Napoli.

There’s no doubt that the decision to award the Serie A club a spot-kick was harsh, and in the end, it cost Klopp’s side the game.
It was a defeat on the opening night of the Champions League for the current holders, who will now turn their attention to Premier League matters.
The Merseyside club have won all five of their league games, and this Sunday, they will face Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
Both teams have already met this season when Liverpool pipped past them to secure the European Super Cup last month in Istanbul.
