Is Dana White being completely honest?
The UFC president has never been a fan of the influencer boxing scene, with Jake Paul often at the centre of it all. White’s comments have always leaned sceptical, seeing the movement as more spectacle than sport.
Jake Paul hasn’t exactly made things easy for him to ignore. He’s taken on and beaten several names familiar to UFC fans, including former champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, as well as Nate Diaz.
The back-and-forth between White and Paul has been going on for years now. And recently, the 56-year-old took another shot at Jake following his latest performance in the ring.
Dana White responds to criticism following Joshua vs. Paul

Paul suffered his second professional boxing loss, and his first stoppage defeat, after being knocked out by Anthony Joshua back in December.
The fight was one-sided as expected, with the former two-time unified heavyweight world champion taking over after Paul’s exhibition bout with Gervonta Davis fell through.
“It’s just not what I do,” White said in an interview with Complex. “I think everybody that was involved in that thing should be embarrassed.
Fans push back on White’s comments, citing past events
Dana White’s remarks about the Joshua-Paul fight didn’t take long to spread across social media, where fans were quick to point out a few examples that don’t quite fit his stance.
One fan posted a clip of CM Punk making his UFC debut with the caption: “‘We don’t do that.’”
Plenty of others jumped in too, pointing to things like Power Slap and his role in helping put together Conor McGregor’s boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.
“Tune into Power Slap next week lmfao.”
“He allowed CM Punk to fight in the UFC.”
“Brother allowed McGregor versus Mayweather.”
There was also mention of White once trying to set up a bout between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. One user wrote: “This was the same man that was more than happy to try to make Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg an official match.”
