Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are looking for a new manager to take over from Pedro Caixinha.

Aitor Karanka, manager of Middlesbrough looks on during the Premier League match between Stoke City and Middlesbrough at Bet365 Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Stoke on Trent, England.

Aitor Karanka has sent the rumour mill into action, after posting an intriguing picture on social media website Twitter, and some supporters have suggested that he could be on Glasgow Rangers’ wishlist.

With Rangers looking for a new manager, it has now been suggested that Karanka could be on his way up to Ibrox.

Rangers are one of a number of teams currently looking for a new boss, with Everton and Sunderland also on the look out.

But some supporters have suggested that Karanka could become an outsider to take over from Pedro Caixinha at Rangers.

Rangers have been looking for a new manager for some time, after the dismissal of Caixinha.

At the moment Graeme Murty is in temporary charge, but it is not clear whether he will get the job on a long-term basis.

Rangers are currently in fourth place in the Scottish Premiership table, after what has been a disappointing campaign so far.

Karanka has been out of work since leaving Middlesbrough earlier this year.
