Las Vegas Raiders rookie Fernando Mendoza’s reported Madden 27 is shocking, to say the least.
Fernando Mendoza entered the 2026 NFL Draft as one of the most highly regarded football prospects in the world.
As expected, Mendoza was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the draft by the Las Vegas Raiders. While the NFL season is yet to commence, football fans will soon get their hands on Madden 27.

NFL fans react to Fernando Mendoza’s reported 74 rating on Madden 27
Despite being the consensus No. 1 overall pick, the Raiders superstar hasn’t done much to justify a 90-plus rating in Madden 27. However, fans likely expected him to be in the high 70s or low 80s.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case, as Mendoza’s reported Madden 27 rating is just 74.
“I would’ve thought 76-78 like most 1st picks,” a fan wrote. While another added, “He a smooth 81.”
“I think we should be more concerned that he hasn’t signed his rookie deal yet,” a third fan pointed out.
“That’s low,” another fan chimed in. While a fifth fan stated, “Great rating for a rookie QB love it.”
Most fans were surprised by the rating, but a few think that since he’s a rookie, it’s a good rating, and if he explodes into stardom in the upcoming season, the rating can always be adjusted.
Additionally, with Kirk Cousins on the roster, many believe it’s unlikely that Mendoza becomes QB1 for the Raiders.
