Sunderland striker Andrew Nelson spent the second half of last season on loan at Falkirk.

Nelson spent the second half of last season at Falkirk, having joined the Bairns on loan from Sunderland in the January transfer window.
Hartley has said that he would like the 20-year-old striker to return to the Falkirk Stadium for the 2018-19 campaign.
The Falkirk manager, though, has admitted that the striker’s current injury could play a role in his decision.
“He’s a player we do like, but he’s been out injured for a few weeks,” Hartley told The Falkirk Herald about Nelson. “We do want to bring a forward in and hopefully we can do something before the window next week.”
“He’s a player I like but it all depends on his injury situation. Would I like him back? Yes of course but we have to look at where he is in terms of his fitness, is he ready or how long will it be for him to be back?
“He’s a player who did really well here and a player I liked working with, but there’s a lot of things it depends on.”

Back to Scotland?
With Sunderland aiming to win back promotion to the Championship, Nelson is not going to get much playing time for the Black Cats in League One this season.
The 20-year-old would be better off playing for Falkirk on loan this season, but his current injury does make it complicated for the Scottish Championship club.
However, there is no doubt that once the striker recovers from his injury and if Falkirk sign him, then the Englishman will deliver the goods for Hartley’s side as the season progresses.
