Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao netted a vital goal to secure a draw away to Stoke City.

The Colombian may only have netted three times so far this season, but each goal has been a game-turning one, securing the team an extra five points with a winner and two equalisers.

It has been a stop start loan spell for the striker so far but his knack of goalscoring is beginning to shine through.

He has the 20th best minutes per goal ratio of strikers in the Premier League to date, and can be expected to rise up the list as he continues to find the net.

Already however he is above a few notable forwards, five highlighted below.

Falcao has a better record this season in terms of minutes-per-goal than Evertons £28 million addition Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City rival Edin Dzeko.

Intriguingly he also has a better rate than the player he landed up replacing, Danny Welbeck – who has only netted four Premier League goals so far.

Liverpool’s addition Mario Balotelli has not even scored, while Rickie Lambert has only netted once. Daniel Sturridge managed one in the 270 minutes of football, also at a lower rate than Falcao.

Falcao’s class is undoubted, it’s just a case of his fitness and whether he can reach form which can justify the huge financial expense of keeping him permanently.

While he keeps making important contributions to the team, he gives himself every chance of getting the move he wants.
