Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to reveal their admiration for one aspect of the club’s announcement regarding Shkodran Mustafi’s move to Schalke 04.
The 20-cap Germany international saw his contract at the Emirates Stadium terminated on Deadline Day.
Mustafi then completed a move to Schalke 04, where he has been reunited with Sead Kolasinac in the Bundesliga.
While, disappointingly, most of the responses to his exit were celebratory ones, a few supporters found something more specific to be pleased about.
In Arsenal’s official announcement of his exit, they made a point of mentioning the 28-year-old’s community work around north London.

As Arsenal state, Mustafi donated over 16,000 meals to those most vulnerable in Islington during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Even if you weren’t his biggest fan on the pitch, you can’t deny that this was a phenomenal gesture from the former Everton centre-back.
From where we stand, it’s good to see Arsenal mention this behind-the-scenes work, as it will hopefully encourage more footballers to do the same.

Such a huge act of kindness shouldn’t be swept under the carpet.
Even if you felt Mustafi was a disastrous defender, he can leave north London with his head held high after using his privileges to help the community.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the small detail in the club’s announcement…
