Everton need a new signing in a key position this month.

Everton have certainly been very busy in the transfer market so far this month, with the club securing deals for Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun, while Ross Barkley has joined Everton.
There is still a very significant problem in the Everton squad that needs to be addressed, however, with Sam Allardyce yet to bring in a new left-back.

While Cuco Martina has filled in frequently at left-back under Allardyce, it is clear that he isn’t a suitable long-term option for the club in that position, while Leighton Baines’ injury problems remain a concern and Luke Garbutt doesn’t appear to be a major part of Allardyce’s plans.
With time running out until the window closes, Everton must act quickly to bring in a left-back and doing so would help to improve the overall balance of the team.

Allardyce gave Everton a boost following his appointment as manager and the club are currently in ninth place in the Premier League, yet they have lost their last three top flight fixtures in succession and aren’t yet completely safe as far as relegation is concerned.
Although they have made two quality signings, if Everton don’t bring in a left-back this month then a significant problem with their squad will remain, and, as such, it should be seen as a disappointing transfer window for the club overall.
