The reported Tottenham Hotspur target was potentially available for £15 million last summer – and he reportedly wanted the move.

Long-time reported Tottenham Hotspur target Ryan Sessegnon signed a new contract with Fulham today.
The news won’t have been well received by Spurs fans, but chairman Daniel Levy might be most pained by the 18-year-old’s decision to extend his stay at Craven Cottage.
That is because Sessegnon had his ‘heart set on joining’ the North Londoners last summer according to Football London.

Worse yet, the young winger was only worth a reported £15 million at the time [The Independent] and failing to get him there and then is now looking like a serious mistake by Levy.

Sessegnon grabbed 16 Championship goals last season en route to inspiring the Cottagers to Premier League promotion via the playoffs, winning five end-of-season awards including Championship Player of the Year.
With that in mind, and his latest extension, it’s fair to say that if Tottenham still want him then they’ll have to pay a dramatically higher transfer fee.
Levy, to his credit, gets a lot of things right in the transfer market, but failing to sign Sessegnon when he reportedly wanted the move must go down as a major error.
