Clarke enjoyed an excellent pre-season with Leeds.

Leeds United have sent a whole host of young talent on loan this summer, as the Thorp Arch academy continues to churn out players with plenty of promise, year after year.
The likes of Paudie O’Connor, Tyler Denton, Mallik Wilks and Liam Kitching have all left on loan this summer as they further their development in the Football League, rather than remaining in the reserve side at Leeds.
New manager Marcelo Bielsa has streamlined the Leeds squad, also offloading a number of first-team players including Felix Wiedwald, Marcus Antonsson and Luke Murphy.
It has given the Whites a much more balanced squad, with the Argentine bringing in five English players for the first team. But one player should still be sent out on loan to gain experience.
Exciting young winger Jack Clarke shone when given the chance to impress during Leeds’ two-game trip to Myanmar, certainly being considered the pick of the players and continued his growth during the Whites’ pre-season.
He scored against Oxford United and appeared against York City and Ossett United, showing just how effective his direct running, speed, pace and eagerness to showcase his talent can be.
But he failed to make the squad to face Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night, with plenty of competition ahead of Clarke in the likes of Gjanni Alioski, Tyler Roberts, and Jack Harrison ahead of him.
The heated competition has already seen Hadi Sacko leave to join Spanish outfit Las Palmas on loan, and Clarke must now follow a handful of his under-23 teammates if he is to take the next step in his development.
A loan spell to a League One or League Two side would be perfect for the dazzling Clarke, as remaining at Under-23 level will see him fail to further his potential.
