Reported Manchester United target Daniel James almost joined Leeds United from Swansea City in the January transfer window.

Daniel James could have been a Leeds United player now, but the Swansea City winger should not be too disappointed as he is reportedly set to join Manchester United and will get as much as £67,000 per week as salary.
According to The Daily Mail, James is on the verge of joining Premier League giants United from Welsh outfit Swansea for £17 million.
The winger earns £4,000 per week at the Championship club, but at Old Trafford, the 21-year-old will get £67,000 per week including bonuses, according to The Daily Mail.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that James was set to join Leeds from Swansea on loan in the January transfer window with a view to a permanent transfer for £9m if the West Yorkshire outfit were promoted to the Premier League.

However, according to the report, a late disagreement over the payment of the loan fee saw the transfer collapse.
It must have been disappointing for James, as the Wales international had reportedly undergone a medical at Leeds and was set to move to Elland Road, but he will probably be looking back on it and thinking that it was for the best.
After all, United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and James would have never got £67,000 per week including bonuses as salary at Leeds that he will reportedly earn at the Red Devils.
