Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to heap praise on Jude Bellingham, after ITV posted footage of the 18-year-old in action for England.

What’s the story?

Well, the teenager earned his eighth cap for England on Sunday, as the Three Lions romped to a 4-0 win over Andorra.

During the first-half, Bellingham performed a delightful nutmeg on Ludovic Clemente, scooping the ball through the Andorran’s legs.

After watching the 15-second footage, Lineker heaped praise on the £25m man, describing him as a ‘superb’ footballer.

You can see the BBC Match of the Day host’s tweet in full below.

Bellingham was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, after he controlled a brilliant long-range pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold before firing wide.

Yesterday, the Daily Star published a story which will surely put a smile on the faces of Liverpool fans worldwide.

They believe the Reds have now made Bellingham their top target, and are ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign the ex-Birmingham man.

However, the Daily Star add that Jürgen Klopp will have to make him Liverpool’s new club-record signing if he’s to bring the prodigy to Anfield.

Bellingham will not demand an exit from Borussia Dortmund anytime soon.

However, the Daily Star claim that he knows his long-term futures lies in the Premier League, so Liverpool must stay alert.

Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson already gave Bellingham a tour of their Carrington training ground, only for him to choose a move to the Bundesliga.

In that respect, perhaps there is hope for Liverpool that he’ll choose a move to Anfield over Old Trafford – keep your eyes on this saga.
