Some Arsenal fans on social media have been getting very excited after Fabrizio Romano gave an update on Arsenal’s view of Matteo Guendouzi.
The journalist was speaking on The Blind Gooner YouTube channel, and he stated that Arsenal are open to the idea of Guendouzi returning to the club to play a part.
“They appreciate the talent, they appreciate the player. They were thinking like he should be a starter, not just one of the midfielders. When a player comes back, lot of situations could change. Arsenal are open with Matteo,” Romano said.
As you can imagine, this had a number of Arsenal fans excited.
Guendouzi has always had his cohort of followers within the Arsenal fanbase who believe he is talented enough to make a real impact at The Emirates, and it looks as though he could get another opportunity.
Based on his performances with Hertha Berlin this season and the plaudits he’s been earning in Germany, he could be a real asset to Arsenal’s squad upon his return, so we can understand why so many fans were getting excited about this update.
Of course, whether or not his situation changes between now and the summer remains to be seen, but it looks as though many Gunners supporters are keen to see him return.
