Fulham are reportedly on the verge of beating West Ham to the signing of Justin Kluivert, with AS Roma allowing the Dutch winger to join the west London side this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Cottagers have agreed to personal terms with the 23-year-old attacker, who wants to sign for Fulham as quickly as possible as Marco Silva looks to add to his attacking options for the new season, with West Ham set to miss out on Kluivert.

The former Ajax superstar has been linked with the Hammers in recent weeks with David Moyes also looking to sign more depth in the attacking position, however, with the Irons signing Maxwel Cornet from Burnley, it makes sense why Fulham have now swooped in and won the race for Kluivert.
The Dutch attacker was once one of the hottest footballing prospects on the planet during his early years in the Netherlands, with Kluivert once being compared to PSG and Brazil superstar Neymar, however, things have not quite gone to plan for the forward since leaving Holland.
Loan spells at OGC Nice and RB Leipzig have done little to unlock Kluivert’s once-promising potential, and with Fulham now set to sign the winger on a permanent deal, it appears that Jose Mourinho is open to offloading the Roma attacker for good this summer.
Indeed, Fulham could be an ideal club for Kluivert with Silva open to playing young players and given talented prospects the opportunity to impress, yet for West Ham, they might have done well to avoid signing the Dutch international despite their apparent interest in the Amsterdam-born forward.
Kluivert could be Fulham’s latest big-name signing to flop

As mentioned, Kluivert’s time since leaving the Netherlands has not gone to plan, with the attacker making 126 appearances for three different clubs in three different countries and only scoring 19 goals, and for Fulham, there’s a good chance that the Cottagers have another big-name disaster on their hands.
We have seen the west London side push the boat out and making some truly impressive signings only for them to completely flop and leave Craven Cottage without a trace, and for in Kluivert’s case, the Dutch winger could be yet another example for Fulham’s latest comeback year in the Premier League.
