Fabrizio Romano has reported that negotiations are currently underway between Arsenal and Reiss Nelson’s camp over a new deal.
The Gunners have been busy over the past few months with regards to extending players’ contracts.
Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has already penned a new contract at The Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka is expected to follow suit, while William Saliba could well also get a new deal.
Meanwhile, Nelson’s Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season.
However, there have already been signs suggesting the 23-year-old could be on course for a new contract.
The player himself has made clear several times that he’d like to stay put at Arsenal.
Now, Romano has reported that the Gunners are indeed in talks with Nelson’s representatives over a new deal.
The Hale End graduate also has interest from several European clubs, added the transfer insider.
“Understand negotiations are currently underway between Arsenal and Reiss Nelson representatives for a contract extension,” Romano wrote on Twitter.
“Current deal expires in June. Arteta would be happy to keep Reiss, while more European clubs are showing interest in potential free transfer.”
Our view
This is a no-brainer for Arsenal. Nelson is an ‘electrifying‘ talent with plenty of years ahead of him who has shown he has what it takes at the top level.
And the fact he’s willing to stay at the club despite not being guaranteed first-team football for now speaks volumes to his character.
Arteta is a manager who will make players work hard for their chance, but will eagerly keep them in the XI when they’ve proven themselves.
