Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Martin Ødegaard is ‘tempted’ to join Arsenal, after the Gunners submitted an offer to take him on loan.
The 25-cap Norway international looks set to depart Real Madrid this month.
The Athletic wrote that Arsenal are strong contenders to sign him, although Real Sociedad – where the midfield maestro spent last season on loan – are as well.
However, Romano’s revelation offers encouragement to the north Londoners in their pursuit of the diminutive playmaker.
The transfer specialist adds that Ødegaard will talk things through with his family before making a decision on his next move.
Additionally, the Italian journalist says that Real Sociedad are in advanced talks with the Drammen-born midfielder, and are ahead of Ajax in the race.

However, Arsenal’s interest has led to Ødegaard taking days to reflect on his future – it seems as if the Gunners have well and truly turned his head.
So, what type of player is the Norwegian?
Well, former Blackburn Rovers technician Morten Gamst Pedersen once described him as ‘unbelievable’ and said that he had fantastic technical skills.

ESPN quote the Premier League icon as saying: ‘For his age he is unbelievable – his knowledge of the game is unbelievable and his technical skills are fantastic. I have never seen a player with so much potential.’
Whoever lands Ødegaard will be getting a gem of a footballer, to say the very least.
