Speaking on the ‘Here We Go‘ podcast, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tottenham are working on a new contract for Hugo Lloris as well as Heung-min Son.
Romano has previously confirmed that Spurs are working on fresh terms for the South Korea international.
However, news of a contract for Lloris has not been as heavily documented.
The £7.9 million signing from Lyon sees his current terms expire in June 2022, according to Transfermarkt.
However, Tottenham seem keen to remain in a comfortable position regarding their No.1’s future, and don’t want to end up in a situation where he only has one year left.
While the likes of Harry Kane, Son, Eric Dier and others have played out of their skin under Jose Mourinho, Lloris has also been spectacular and seems to have cut out the errors from his game.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, the 117-cap France international occasionally played a risky pass or suffered a wobbly moment in between the sticks.
However, under Mourinho, the 33-year-old has largely been solid.
Lloris has conceded just nine goals in nine Premier League games this season, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
He is arguably one of Tottenham’s most improved players of late, and he looks set to be rewarded with a fresh contract as a result.
