Tanguy Ndombele is reportedly edging closer to a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at PSG – and Fabrizio Romano claims Tottenham have identified a possible replacement. Namely, Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
Romano also reported over the weekend that talks are ongoing for PSG to sign 25-year-old Ndombele on loan – with Spurs requesting his entire wage is paid in full. It remains to be seen if a buy clause will be included.
Ndombele is struggling for game time and a loan move makes sense. Of course, Spurs will need a replacement – and Amrabat has been identified. The Morocco international has started just two of 12 appearances this term.
Indeed, he has been struggling to make an impact with Dusan Vlahovic’s side. The midfielder, also 25, has failed to prove his £17million (GOAL) fee at Fiorentina – playing 45 times in two seasons. Romano posted on Twitter.

Impressing in Netherlands, and at Verona, Amrabat deserved his move to Fiorentina. But since, he has really struggled for game time. You have to ask, if he is struggling for Fiorentina – it will be much harder at Spurs.
Spurs do need a midfielder and physically, he fits the mould. A hard-working, ball-playing midfielder. But he would hardly get in the side above Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
He could be available for a cheap-ish fee and TransferMarkt claim he has the same agents as Joe Rodon and Ben Davies. He is far below Tottenham’s standard, but a decent signing if he is happy to provide cover.
