Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has named two transfers Arsenal will discuss once the summer transfer window opens.

The Italian journalist was talking about Martin Odegaard’s impending loan move to the Emirates, and he claims that Arsenal will begin discussing his future along with Dani Ceballos’ with Real Madrid at the end of the season.

“The deal is absolutely done and signed, we’re analysing the last details about contracts and medicals and everything but it is done. It will be a simple loan until the end of the season, and then at the end of the season Arsenal board and Real Madrid board will discuss the situation of Martin Odegaard and also Dani Ceballos,” Romano said.

Time will tell whether or not Arsenal want to keep these two at the club beyond the summer.

Odegaard hasn’t played a single minute of football for Arsenal yet, so there’s no guarantee that the Gunners will want to keep hold of him beyond the end of this season, while Ceballos has blown hot and cold throughout his career at the Emirates.

The next few months will be key to these discussions, and it will be interesting to see what comes of Madrid and Arsenal talking about these two players.

Both Odegaard and Ceballos are only young, so we can’t imagine that Madrid will be keen to ship them out cheaply, but if Mikel Arteta can find out how to get the best out of them, then we imagine that Arsenal will want to keep hold of them.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
