Fabrizio Romano has tipped reported Liverpool target, Jude Bellingham, to become the most expensive midfielder of all time, with reports already suggesting that the Borussia Dortmund star could command a transfer fee of £120m.
Taking to Twitter, the Italian journalist lauded the 19-year-old England international after Bellingham was yet again the star of the show for Dortmund, with the midfielder bagging a brace in a stunning 5-0 win for the Bundesliga giants against VfB Stuttgart.
The teenager has been in red hot form this season, with Bellingham’s double taking his goal tally to the season already to eight, and rumours are hotting up that the midfielder is in line for a world-record move next summer, with some reports putting the wonderkid’s transfer fee as high as £120m.
And with Liverpool seemingly the favourites to land Bellingham next summer as reported by the Athletic, the Reds could have to make Romano’s prophecy come true in 2023, with a world-record bid for a midfielder likely what Dortmund want for their stat talent next year.
Indeed, Bellingham’s form this season could easily up Dortmund’s demands for the former Birmingham City star next year. And for Liverpool, they could be in quite the financial pickle if the midfielder continues to shatter records and to provide goals and assists for the German giants.
Liverpool should be worried if Bellingham’s transfer fee rises

Bellingham’s form this season has been nothing short of incredible, and as a result, the midfielder’s stock will continue to rise to such a level that Liverpool might be in a bind to pay whatever transfer fee Dortmund will demand for the teenager next summer.
After all, Liverpool have seemingly set their sights on Bellingham as their main target for 2023, though should Romano’s words come true, the Reds will have quite the mission on their hands to lure one of football’s most exciting talents to Anfield.
