Sevilla will make their final transfer decision on Anthony Martial this May, with Newcastle United and Tottenham both interested in the Manchester United striker in January.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga side will decide in May whether or not to sign the French international on a permanent deal, with Martial’s current loan spell with Sevilla not including an option to buy or a similar clause.

The 26-year-old joined the Spanish side on loan in the January window, with Martial rejecting interest from the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham to make the move to Spain to improve on his lacklustre form. Yet since moving, the forward has continued to struggle.
Martial has bagged just one goal for Sevilla, that coming in the UEFA Europa League against Dinamo Zagreb. And whilst the attacker is playing regular minutes for the Spanish side, his lack of goals in the league has been a major concern, with the Andalusian club winning just one of the five La Liga games the United striker has featured in.
Indeed, with Sevilla’s long-term stance on Martial up in the air, this could open the door for Newcastle and Tottenham to make a new approach for the United star, with both Premier League clubs interested in the winger.
A £58m signing from AS Monaco in 2013 as per BBC Sport, Martial’s form has dropped hugely over the past 12 months, and the forward now looks set to leave United for good this summer, with Newcastle and Tottenham likely to reignite their interest in the forward.
Martial’s Sevilla nightmare is exactly what Newcastle and Tottenham wanted

There’s no denying that there’s a fantastic player in Martial just waiting to be unleashed at the right club and coaching, and for Newcastle and Tottenham, they could be the perfect environment for the striker to flourish after his nightmare loan spell at Sevilla.
After all, this season has seen numerous players reach new heights under both Eddie Howe and Antonio Conte, and for Martial, his poor showing with Sevilla could tempt the United forward to move to Newcastle or Tottenham this summer.
