Fabrizio Romano has revealed a potentially major update on Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
Liverpool supporters will be desperate to see Salah extend his contract at Anfield this summer.
That’s because come June, the 29-year-old will only have 12 months left on his Reds deal and that makes the Premier League giants vulnerable.
Considering that the Egypt international is one of the world’s finest footballers, the Merseysiders can expect interest in him this summer if no extension has been signed.
However, Romano has some good news on this front.
According to the Italian journalist, the Liverpool sensation has no intention of joining a Spanish club, amid speculation about Barcelona.
Here’s what he told his Here We Go podcast: “Salah is not planning to go to La Liga clubs this summer…..as of today. There’s nothing serious between Barca and Salah. It’s up to Liverpool.”
Very promising
This, if true, is a brilliant development for the Reds.
That’s because Barcelona and Real Madrid are two of the most heavily linked clubs with Salah in recent years.
And if Salah has no designs of playing in Spain, that really only leaves Paris Saint-Germain as the only European powerhouse who can match the wage demands that he wants at Liverpool, which is reportedly £400,000.

But with PSG boasting Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and a certain Lionel Messi, well adding Salah to the ranks is illogical.
If the Liverpool sensation genuinely has no intention of Spain then that’s brilliant for the English club.
