Liverpool have been making the headlines in recent days regarding player movement, thanks to stories surrounding Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara.
According to The Mirror, Barcelona are interested in signing Wijnaldum from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Reds are wiling to sell the Netherlands international this summer for £15 million.
The 29-year-old midfielder is out of contract at the Premier League champions at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Bayern Munich star Thiago has been linked with the Reds, with Bleacher Report claiming that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is pushing the club’s board to sign the 29-year-old Spain international central midfielder.
Some Liverpool fans would suspect that Thiago would join only if Wijnaldum leaves, but well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano – who works for The Guardian among other media outlets – has stated on Twitter that the two transfer deals are not 100% related.
This suggests that the Premier League champions could keep Wijnaldum and still sign Thiago, which would be great for the Anfield faithful, as they could have two quality midfielders next season and would be stronger.
