Harry Kane got Tottenham Hotspur fans very worried earlier this year.

Before football resumed in June, Kane gave a series of interviews and revealed that he wasn’t married to the idea of spending his entire career at Spurs.

Furthermore, Kane also said that he would prefer to win a Premier League title over being the division’s all-time record goalscorer.

The 27-year-old clearly priorities team success over individual success, meaning that Jose Mourinho’s failure to deliver a trophy this season could potentially be seen as a precipitating factor in a possible exit for the red-hot striker, if the Portuguese fails to end the Lilywhites’ 14-year trophy drought that is.

But Fabrizio Romano has revealed an excellent piece of news on that front.

According to the Italian journalist, speaking on his Here We Go podcast, the North Londoners are ‘convinced’ that Kane still remain as the centrepiece of Mourinho’s plans.

He said: “He’s staying. He’s staying 100 percent – also next summer. They [Spurs] are convinced that the player is staying. He is part of the project. They’re so happy with Harry.”

This, if true, is class from a Tottenham perspective because, well, Kane is an enormous player and one with 15 goals and 13 assists from 21 games across all competitions.

Anything Spurs hope to achieve under Mourinho, it has to be done with Kane at the club. He is simply irreplaceable.
