Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Leeds’ interest in Charles De Ketelaere and Cody Gakpo.
Leeds may have already made three signings this summer, but they may once again come alive in the market when deals for Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha are finalised.
Indeed, the Whites can expect close to a £100m windfall after these players are sold, and they could sign some truly quality players with that cash.
Gakpo and De Ketelaere have been linked, but according to Romano, Gakpo isn’t one of Leeds’ top targets, although, he says that De Ketelaere is certainly one to keep an eye on.

Romano spoke about Gakpo and De Ketelaere.
“A name I would keep an eye on is Charles De Ketelaere, he’s a very interesting player, he’s very high on the list for Leeds, they’re waiting for an agreement for Raphinha, but De Ketelaere is one of the players they want,” Romano said.
“Gakpo is a possibility, he’s one of the names on their list, I’m told he’s not top of the list for Leeds at the moment, but he’s one of the possibilities. Now for them, they want to find a solution for Raphinha and then jump into new signings, both Gakpo and De Ketelaere are on the list.”
Making moves
Leeds United can’t afford to rest on their laurels with Raphinha and Phillips potentially departing, and it seems as though they’re ready to act promptly.
De Ketelaere would be a big-money arrival, and he looks like he could be an absolute gem, while Gakpo was last season’s Player of the Year in the Eredivisie, so he could act as an immediate replacement for Raphinha.
Leeds are circling these two, and if they manage to sign both players, they may even improve as a team.
