According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have scheduled a direct meeting with Erik ten Hag as Daniel Levy searches for José Mourinho’s replacement.
The Italian journalist claims that the Dutchman is on Tottenham’s list of candidates for the job.
Romano also states that Ten Hag is open to leaving Ajax this summer, although nothing is decided yet.
Recently, Levy has been forced to watch other targets, such as Julian Nagelsmann and Jesse Marsch, move elsewhere.
Nagelsmann has replaced Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich, while Marsch is replacing the 33-year-old at RB Leipzig.
Both men were on Levy’s list, according to Kicker and Romano.
So, that leaves Ten Hag, along with others such as Gareth Southgate, Graham Potter, Scott Parker and Brendan Rodgers.
However, it looks like Levy is now keen to speak to the Ajax boss, after he was rejected twice by Rodgers according to the Daily Mail.
The 51-year-old has an excellent track record.
Across spells with Go Ahead Eagles, Bayern Munich II, Utrecht and Ajax, Ten Hag has racked up an impressive 242 career wins from 385 games.

That is according to Transfermarkt, who also reveal that the Dutchman averages 2.06 points per game throughout his career.
That is excellent, to say the least.
In our view, he is the best available option out there after Rodgers decided to stay at Leicester.
However, after Frank de Boer failed in the Premier League, we can’t help but feel sceptical.
Of course, Ten Hag is his own man, and a different coach.

However, succeeding in the Eredivisie doesn’t always guarantee success in England, or even Italy.
De Boer won four Eredivisie titles in a row with Ajax, and looked to be an excellent young manager.
However, he then lasted just 85 days in charge of Inter Milan, before being sacked by Crystal Palace after just 77 days.
De Boer also failed at Atalanta.
That isn’t to say Ten Hag won’t succeed. However, we must remember that success in the Netherlands doesn’t always mean it’ll happen elsewhere.
