Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham have been in contact with Jules Kounde’s agents ahead of a potential summer move.
Kounde could be on the move this summer, with the player himself admitting that he may have to leave Sevilla to take his game to the next level, and it seems as though Tottenham are one potential suitor.
The French defender’s agent has already spoken to the north London club, at least according to Fabrizio Romano.
What’s been said?
Romano has shared what he knows about the Frenchman’s situation.
“Remember also about Kounde. Kounde from Sevilla could be an opportunity. Manchester United have his name in the list, but Tottenham are also considering Kounde and have been in contact with his agents, so for sure Tottenham will do something in the defence in the right-back, centre-back position,” Romano said.

Competition
Spurs have made contact with Kounde’s agent, but it’s hard to say that they have a clear path to signing the centre-half.
As Romano says, Manchester United have his name on their list, while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the defender.
It’s no surprise to hear that top sides want Kounde. After all, he was once described as ‘the total footballer’ by Diario de Sevilla
If Spurs are to get their man, they’ll need to fend off some stiff competition, and beating United and Arsenal to this signing would be a real statement of intent from Fabio Paratici.
Where will the defender end up? Only time will tell, but this looks to be a situation to keep an eye on if you’re a Spurs fan.
