Leeds United want to sign Sergio Aguero, according to 90min, but Fabrizio Romano has claimed on The Arsenal Lounge that the Manchester City striker dreams of a move to Barcelona.

According to a report in 90min this week, Leeds are interested in securing the services of Aguero on a free transfer.

The Argentina international striker is out of contract at the Citizens at the end of the season and will leave the former Premier League champions.

According to well-known and well-respected journalist Romano, who works for The Guardian and SkySport, the 32-year-old wants to move to Barcelona and play with his Argentine compatriot Lionel Messi, although he is open to a switch to Paris Saint-Germain as well.

Romano said on The Arsenal Lounge when asked about a potential move for Aguero to Arsenal: “To be honest with you, Aguero is waiting for something different from English clubs in general. So he is hoping to have an opportunity like Barcelona, his priority to play with Leo Messi, so he wants to go to Barcelona, it’s his dream to go to Barcelona and also Paris Saint-Germain.”

Sergio Aguero to Leeds United?

While Aguero would be a superb signing for Leeds, it is hard to see the West Yorkshire club pull off this move.

The former Atletico Madrid striker is used to playing in the Champions League and winning Premier League titles, and Leeds cannot offer him that, at least not in the next two seasons.
