Tottenham Hotspur target Vitor Roque is expected to make a decision on his next club soon amid claims Arsenal aren’t in concrete talks.

That is according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, who has taken to Twitter to discuss Vitor Roque’s future.

Romano claims that the Brazilian teenager is planning to pick his next club early in the summer window and not at the end of it.

Romano notes that Vitor Roque’s ‘favourite option’ is Barcelona right now but the La Liga giants haven’t struck a deal due to their financial issues.

It was added that there are no concrete talks with Arsenal despite strong rumours linking Vitor Roque with the Gunners.

TEAMtalk reported just last week that Arsenal were ‘making progress’ in their pursuit of Vitor Roque.

The rumours have been rife for months now with Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo reporting in March that Arsenal had met with the striker’s representatives.

Yet Romano now suggests that Arsenal aren’t pushing that hard for Vitor Roque after all, suggesting there is doubt over a move to London.

Tottenham may actually have a chance for Vitor Roque

Romano adds that other Premier League clubs are in the race and Tottenham may well be one of them.

Globo Esporte reported earlier in April that Tottenham have made contact for the Athletico Paranaense talent.

Tottenham’s transfer plans have been a little dented by Fabio Paratici’s absence due to a worldwide ban.

Yet with Vitor Roque seemingly on the radar, Tottenham do have some hope of a deal.

Arsenal seemingly aren’t at the front of the queue and Barcelona are struggling to fund a transfer.

That opens the door for another team to swoop in and secure deal, so why not Tottenham?

Vitor Roque, 18, has already bagged 11 goals in 41 games for Athletics Paranaense.

Tipped for a huge future, Vitor Roque will be in huge demand this summer and the latest news may just give Spurs some hope.
