Fabrizio Romano has said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that many clubs are interested in signing Lucas Moura from Tottenham Hotspur.
The well-known and well-respected journalist, who works for The Guardian and SkySport, has claimed that it would be difficult for clubs to sign Lucas from Spurs in the January transfer window, but things could change in the summer of 2021.
Eurosport reported earlier this month that Spurs are open to offers for the Brazil international winger – who cost the North London club £25 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018, according to Sky Sports.
Romano said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast about Lucas: “I think in January it’s difficult. Next summer probably anything can change. Also because many clubs are interested in him. He is a good player and also for many top clubs, but at the moment there is nothing.”
Important player for Tottenham Hotspur
Lucas has done well for Spurs over the years and will always be remembered by the Tottenham fans for his heroics against Ajax in the Champions League.
Although the 28-year-old is not playing regularly for Tottenham at the moment, it is hard to see head coach Jose Mourino offload the winger in the middle of the season where they can win the Premier League and the Europa League.
According to WhoScored, Lucas has made four starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League so far this campaign.
