According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton are working on the final details of their deal for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Everton have had a busy couple of deals, signing Napoli midfielder Allan on Saturday before adding James Rodriguez from Real Madrid on Monday.
There is another imminent arrival though, with Doucoure set to join the Toffees from Watford following their relegation.
The Frenchman has been a long-term target for Everton, and they have now made their move having seen Watford drop into the Championship.
Sky Sports reported last week that Everton had agreed a £25million fee to sign Doucoure, with the idea of pairing him with Allan in the heart of Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield.
Some expected the deal to be done by now, and The Athletic’s Adam Leventhal did tweet on Monday night that there have been delays in the deal.

Now, Romano states that Ancelotti and Marcel Brands are working on the final details of Doucoure’s move, suggesting that it’s very close to being done.
With Doucoure and Allan providing all-action play in the middle of the park and Rodriguez now a new creative force, Everton’s midfield will look very different under Ancelotti.
